Tinyboard

About

Tinyboard is a light-weight, fast, highly configurable and user-friendly imageboard software package released under a non-restrictive open-source license. It is written in PHP and has few dependencies.

Unlike the other popular imageboard engines, Tinyboard was written completely from scratch and not based on any ancient projects such as Kusaba or Futaba.

Tinyboard is currently being used on some high-traffic websites such as 4chon.

Demo

You can view the demo board here and the moderation interface here (demo / demo). Please note that when you post or log in, your IP address will be made public to everyone else who tries out the moderation interface.

Requirements

• PHP ≥ 5.2.5 with PDO, GD and mbstring.
• The appropriate PDO driver for your database. Currently, only MySQL is supported.
• Some sort of web server.

Installation

• Download and extract Tinyboard to your web directory or get the latest development version with:
  git clone git://github.com/savetheinternet/Tinyboard.git
• Navigate to /install.php and follow the simple steps.
• Tinyboard should now be installed. Log in at /mod.php with the default username and password combination: admin / password. You should probably change that…

Troubleshooting

Tinyboard is still beta software — there is bound to be bugs. If you find a bug, please report it to us at GitHub.

If you need assistance with installing, configuring or using Tinyboard, you may find support from a variety of sources:

• If you're unsure about how to enable or configure certain features, make sure you have read the comments in inc/config.php.
• docs — Some documentation.
• /sup/ — Tinyboard's general support board.
• IRC — Ask the developers or other Tinyboard users. There's usually always someone available to speak to.
